A Super herb…

Schizandra Berries (Chinese: Wu Wei Zi ; Latin: Schisandra Chinesis) are a classic “super herb” used in anti-aging and beauty remedies, and longevity tonics in TCM due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & anti-diabetic properties.

In several studies, it is also known to improve glucose tolerance, and promote the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and noradrenaline.

In Traditional Chinese medicine, it is warm, astringent & sour, and enters the lung, kidney and heart meridians.

It can be found in numerous herbal formulas, and cooked with food, or made into a tea to treat a multitude of conditions such as menopausal symptoms, weak lungs (with coughing), excessive sweating, insomnia and heart palpitations.

If this is something you are interested in integrating into your diet, and want to know more about, DM me, or book a consultation at @acucollective or @eqlybrm.
